The Thornley Family is thrilled to announce that on Monday we received our referral from Panama. As soon as all the medicals, social info, etc. are looked out by our physician (we should be receiving tomorrow) ..we will be bringing home three children. They are biological siblings. There are 2 boys..ages 3 and 6 and one little girl who is 2. We were originally asked about this sibling group in April. At that time, we said, "no"...I mean that makes us have 8 children at home. Another family came forward and then backed out. The children never left our minds and after some planning and lots of prayer, we decided they were meant to join our family. That was back on May 7th...with all the paperwork and adoption "stuff", it has just taken awhile for us to get the official referral. We might leave as early as mid September but will not know for sure for another week or so. The hardest part of this is that we will have to stay in Panama for a month. Thomas and Maura Genet will be staying with church friends which will be very difficult since we have never been away from therm for longer than 4 days. Thomas can't miss a month of school since this only his 3rd year here in America. He is doing so well and the school is in agreement with George and me that he shouldn't miss. Maura Genet doesn't want to miss soccer, dance and choir. :) If airfare is reasonable, we will fly them down for a few days.
Their names will be Joshua Tyler Javier, Ronald Gabriel (Ronnie), and Sophia Madeline Rivers (Sophie).
Please keep us in prayer. Please specifically pray that the children are healthy and for a smooth transition. Please also pray that we all stay healthy while in Panama.
